Buy List Policy

This Buy list Policy sets out the terms and conditions under which Genie Cards reviews, accepts, and processes buy list submissions. It is intended to provide clarity and protect both parties throughout the selling process.
By submitting a buy list to Genie Cards, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.

Submission Requirements

Buy list submissions are accepted via ManaBox CSV export only.
This requirement ensures submissions are reviewed consistently and that both the seller and Genie Cards are referencing the same visible values at the point of assessment. Sellers are responsible for ensuring pricing is set to the UK market prior to scanning.
Genie Cards reserves the right to decline submissions that do not meet format requirements or that contain incomplete, inaccurate, or inconsistent data.

Submission Review and Acceptance

Submitting a buy list does not constitute a binding agreement to sell.
All submissions are reviewed for availability, condition expectations, and pricing. Genie Cards may accept, amend, or decline any submission at its discretion.
No sale is considered agreed until the submission has been reviewed and explicitly accepted by Genie Cards.

Pricing and Valuation

Buylist rates are applied using published pricing brackets based on current market trend values.
Values shown during submission are indicative and subject to verification. Final valuation is determined following review and, where applicable, physical inspection of the cards.
Genie Cards does not guarantee that all cards submitted will be accepted or valued at the initially displayed rate.

Condition Assessment

Cards are expected to be accurately represented in the submitted list and to meet condition standards outlined by Genie Cards.
Condition is assessed on receipt (or at collection). If card condition differs materially from what was submitted, Genie Cards will contact the seller before proceeding.
Genie Cards reserves the right to:

-
adjust valuation based on actual condition
-
remove cards from the submission
-
decline part or all of a submission

No sale proceeds without seller confirmation where material changes apply.

Shipping and Risk

For posted submissions, sellers are responsible for selecting an appropriate shipping method and ensuring that cards are packaged securely.

Sellers are solely responsible for:

-
choosing a carrier and service that provides sufficient compensation cover
-
understanding their carrier’s full terms, conditions, and requirements for compensation
-
ensuring they are able to meet all requirements for a compensation claim, including packaging standards, service level, and any documentation the carrier may require in the event of loss or damage

Sellers must ensure that the compensation amount offered by their chosen carrier is appropriate for the value of the submission. Proof of postage and any required documentation must be retained by the seller.
Ownership of the cards remains with the seller until payment has been completed. Genie Cards cannot accept liability for loss or damage while cards are in the care of the seller’s chosen carrier.

In-Person Collection

In-person collection may be available for eligible submissions based on total agreed offer value, location, and logistical considerations.
All collection arrangements are agreed in advance. Genie Cards reserves the right to amend or withdraw collection availability where circumstances require.
For in-person collections, payment is completed at collection.

Payment

Payment is made via bank transfer.
For posted submissions, payment is issued once cards are received and verified. Genie Cards aims to complete payment within 24 hours of verification, though this timeframe is not guaranteed.
For in-person collections, payment is completed at collection.

Seller Control and Withdrawal

Sellers retain full control of their submission until payment has been made.
At any point prior to payment, sellers may:

-
add or remove cards
-
decline revised valuations
-
withdraw their submission entirely
Once payment has been made, the transaction is considered complete and final.

Right to Refuse Service

Genie Cards reserves the right to refuse service, decline submissions, or cancel transactions at its discretion, including (but not limited to) cases involving misrepresentation, suspected fraud, or failure to comply with this policy.

Policy Updates
