Getting Started
Upload a list of MTG singles and we’ll review your cards against our current buylist rates. We check the listed cards, values, versions, finishes and likely condition, then send you a clear cash offer.You can accept all, part or none of the offer. There is no obligation to sell after review.
We mainly buy individual MTG singles showing £1+ trend value in Near Mint to Lightly Played condition.
The buylist is best for:

The standard buylist is not designed for unsorted low-value bulk. Larger collections with bulk may be considered separately.

ManaBox Guide
ManaBox is a Magic: The Gathering collection app that can help you scan cards, track values and export your collection as a file. It is a good starting point if you have not used a scanning app before.
Other apps and tools are also welcome, including Dragon Shield, Delver Lens, Moxfield, Archidekt and similar collection exports.
ManaBox works well because it can export collection data in CSV format, which is easier for us to review than photos or typed lists.
It also helps sellers see values as they scan, so you can quickly spot which cards may be worth sending.
ManaBox is available on iOS and Android.
Before scanning, set your pricing to:

This helps the values in your export stay close to the pricing basis Genie reviews against.
Open ManaBox, go to your collection area, and start scanning or adding your cards. You do not need to scan every card you own.
Focus first on cards likely to show £1+ trend value, such as:
Commander staplesrares and mythicsfoilspromosspecial treatmentscards you know are popular or playable
Most sellers do best by scanning likely-value cards first rather than scanning piles of low-value commons and uncommons.
You can export a CSV or TXT file of your whole collection from the top-right menu in the Collection tab. You can also export a single binder or list from the top-right menu within that binder/list screen. The exported CSV includes card properties and the binder/list name.
For Genie, the simple route is:
Open ManaBox.Go to Collection or the binder/list you want to send.Tap the top-right menu.Choose Export.Export as CSV.Upload that file on Genie’s buylist page.
Either is fine.
If you have made a specific “Sell to Genie” binder/list, export that. If you have scanned everything into your main collection and want us to review all eligible cards, export the whole collection.
Yes.
ManaBox is recommended because it is simple for many sellers, but similar app exports can be sent for review.
CSV or text exports are best. Screenshots and photos are much harder to review accurately.

Our standard cash buylist rates are:

These rates apply to individual eligible MTG singles showing £1+ trend value.
We review cards using UK/Cardmarket-style trend values, with ManaBox UK Cardmarket Trend being the preferred seller-side reference.
The final review still depends on card version, finish, condition, demand and verification.
No. The published rates show how Genie normally calculates offers for eligible cards, but final offers are subject to review.Final values may change if:

Cards under £1 trend value are not normally accepted through the standard buylist.For larger collections, we may consider bulk separately, but the standard buylist is focused on individual £1+ MTG singles.
Selling cards individually takes time and carries costs: listing, storage, fees, postage, condition checking, customer service and slow sell-through.
Genie’s buylist is designed for sellers who want a clear cash offer without listing each card themselves.
It depends on the value of the cards.
As a general guide, if you have 20–40 playable singles showing £1+ trend, it is usually worth scanning and uploading a list.

Cards that are heavily played, damaged, inked, altered or creased are not normally accepted through the standard buylist.
That is fine. Submit the list and we’ll review condition before making or confirming the final offer.
If there is a material condition difference, we’ll let you know.
Yes. Foils, promos, special editions and variants can be reviewed.
Please make sure the export includes the correct version where possible. Version and finish matter because prices can vary significantly.
That can happen, especially with reprints, promos and special treatments.
We’ll check the version during review. If the scanned version does not match the physical card, the offer may change.

Upload your CSV or text export on the buylist page.
If you are using ManaBox, export from your Collection or chosen binder/list and upload that file.
Photos are not ideal for standard buylist submissions because they are slower to review and can miss key details like set, collector number and finish.
A ManaBox or similar export is strongly preferred.
Yes, if it clearly includes card name, quantity and enough version information for us to identify the cards.

The seller is responsible for the cards until they arrive and are verified.
Use a postal service with suitable compensation for the value of the cards.
Pack cards securely so they cannot move around in transit.
Recommended:

Collection may be available for larger collections, depending on value and distance.
If you think your collection may be suitable for collection, mention this when submitting your list.
